I have an active requisition that is currently posted to SES. May I edit the job req even though it is posted?

If our job req for coming year is open and posted already, when can we start hiring returning student workers?

@mjackson yes, you may. On approval of the changes, SES will take down the old posting and create a new one to reflect the updated requisition.

I'd like to use job requisition from last year. How do I update the pay rate?

@Bryan Cahill That is an onboarding tasks assigned to the student. It is also a part of the Form I-9 process and should be done ASAP.

@Tatiana Kuzmenko On the "Compensation" page of the job req edit, clear out and re-enter the details under "Guidelines"

I'm looking at the student profile and under actions I don't see "Hire", is that because the student already has another job?

@Astra Did that but it still shows 15 under Hourly -> Amount as well as under Assignment details.

I saw something similar to Tatiana yesterday while hiring... it said $15/hr at the top but then when I got to the part where I chose Step under compensation, I was able to choose 16.04, I'm not sure why it showed 15.00 still at the top of the requisition though

@Tatiana. I had the same problem copying from a Job Req from last year. The fix is to reset the "Step" in the previous "Compensation > Guidelines" section (remove the existing Step rate and re-add it) and that will correct the Hourly rate to the actual minimum of $16.04

the Step will show $16.04 before you reset it, but it won't actually reset unless you remove the step and re-add it

@Brianne the rate won't update in the top section, that's normal. As long as it says the correct rate under "Guidelines" and "Assignment Details" that's fine

Is there a timesheet submission schedule for Work Study students?

That I can post on the wall or something as a reminder

if a student doesn't work during a particular pay period, should that student still review and submit zero hours.

Are there instructions on how to add the "remaining" column?

@Dean Messinger we have requested that a "Remaining" column be included in the report by default and are awaiting news back from HR/ITS. At present we cannot say when that may become available.

I remember in a previous meeting it was mentioned there was a best day to pull the report to include most recent pay period
